Grano's Story
Grano was born in 2022 from the dream of Dario and Giovanna — a story that began in Italy in 2011, when they chose passion over convention. Dario devoted himself to mastering the art of pizza, while Giovanna, originally on a path in biology, discovered her love for pastry. In 2014, they took a leap together, a shared vision that would one day become Grano.
In February 2026, their story welcomed a new chapter. Luca and Michela joined the journey, bringing their deep passion for coffee and years of experience. Once the heart behind Organicafé — the very space Grano now calls home — they had spent three years in Cornwall running their own café before being drawn back to Cardiff by friendship, memories, and a feeling that never faded.
What began as two separate paths became one shared vision. Today, Grano is run by four friends — united by passion, craft, and the desire to create something meaningful together. Pizza, pastry, and coffee come together here in an experience that continues to grow and evolve.
